In addition to directing the practice, I have the honor of meeting each new patient who consults with Dr. Dean Toriumi. Every patient who has surgery with the Center gives me a gift of trust, and I am honored to be a part of their experience."

Janice Sugar, Esthetician

Janice Sugar is The Facial Plastic Surgery Center's licensed esthetician trained to consult with you regarding the care of your skin.

As a licensed esthetician since 1998, Janice is certified in microdermabrasion and cutaneous laser surgery assistance. She is also a member of Associated Skin Care Professionals.

In addition to skin consultation and analysis services, Janice performs a silk peel (microdermabrasion with dermal infusion). A silk peel exfoliates the skin while delivering a topical solution. She also performs a chemical peel that exfoliates dead skin cells.

Janice, under the direction and supervision of Dr. Toriumi, developed the center's surgical skin care program. The program involves pre-operative deep cleansing facials and post-operative cleansings at two and four weeks after surgery.

Janice says, "I enjoy having the opportunity to develop a specialized service to meet the needs of our patients. Educating our patients regarding the care of their skin is instrumental when contemplating surgery. The ability to offer them a skin care program that is relaxing, therapeutic, and medically approved is paramount to the positive outcome."
